YOUR QUESTIONS - OUR ANSWERS:
Wrap cut fruit, vegetables, herbs, bread and sandwiches with your beeswax cloth and cover bowls, dishes and glasses. Depending on what you use the cloth for, we recommend the following size: S (15 x 15 cm): Half lemons, onions, sliced cucumbers, yoghurt pots, small bowls, etc. M (25 x 25 cm): Sliced fruit & vegetables, fresh herbs, fine cheeses and for covering medium-sized bowls L (35 x 35 cm): Salad bowls at the next barbecue, homemade cakes, fluffy yeast dough, etc. Starter set (L, M, S): The three standard sizes in one practical set for all cases! You save even 20% compared to the single purchase. Bread cloth XXL (60 x 40 cm): Long, round, small & large breads, ciabattas & baguettes or the forgotten giant zucchini from the raised bed. Hold the ends briefly – the warmth of your hands will make your cloth flexible and stick to itself and to all smooth surfaces. You can then put the food and containers in the fridge, take them to the next barbecue and even freeze them.
Fruit, vegetables, bread, baked goods, loose dry foods and hard cheeses are very suitable for wrapping with beeswax cloth. You can also cover bowls and dishes with it. Raw meat, sausage and raw fish are not suitable for your oilcloth. You should also not wrap very greasy foods in your oilcloth.
Only selected raw materials from certified organic cultivation are used:
- Organic cotton (with strictest textile seal, printed in Germany)
- Organic beeswax from regional organic beekeepers from Germany and Austria (additionally tested for pesticides, pollutants and adulterants).
- Tree resin from one of the last traditional pitching factories in Austria
Our organic beeswax cloths are free from jojoba oil.
Wax is sensitive to heat. Therefore, you should keep your cloth in places where it is protected from direct sunlight. In summer, a shady spot, the fridge or even the freezer is ideal for your beeswax cloth.
Wash the cloth after use with cold(!) water and alcohol-free washing-up liquid. Leave your oilcloth to air dry after washing.
With good care, the beeswax cloth can be used for up to a year. If your beeswax cloth is no longer usable, you can simply recycle it in the compost or even use it as a barbecue lighter .
